What took you so long to get here?

Where have you been all my life?

I’ll tell you where I’ve been.

I’ve been in show business!

Ever since I was a little kid and heard Pinocchio singing, “Hey, diddly-dee, an actor’s life for me,” that’s what I wanted. Well, not to be an actor.

I got tired of that during my freshman year in college.

So, what to do, what to do. . .

After many years as a Hollywood press agent, I became a writer…movies, stage plays, books.

Anything that was a challenge. I love telling stories.

After all, with due respect to actors, directors and other artists, isn’t the only truly creative aspect of the performing arts the written word?

Everything else is “interpretation”.

On this site you will find links to my many stage plays that are available for licensing, listings of my books that are available for purchasing, some of my screenplays that are available for optioning, plus my blog that will keep you apprised of my various on-going activities and we can get to know each other, maybe too well.

What to write...?

So, I'm sitting here...looking at this blank blog...trying to figure out what to write.

Nobody has sent me any jokes for the past few days, and I've really got nothing new to report.

Friday morning, I fly up to Chicago to do the Hollywood Celebrity Show on Saturday and Sunday, then I fly back on Sunday night. I get back into Austin at 11:30.

Although I don't enjoy the traveling, I am looking forward to the show, since my friends Bridget Hanley and Bruce Kimmel will be there. I might even sell some books.

Hopefully, the proof copy of JOLSON will be here before I depart. Correcting it would give me something to do on the flight.

About a week or so after I get back, we have to cast the upcoming scene reading from MR. ROBERTS that I'm going to be directing on November 20th for the Jewish War Veterans benefit.

I've received 3-4 submissions from actors thus far, but all these guys are auditioning for the same role (i.e. The Captain). We also need a Mr. Roberts and am Ensign Pulver.
