What took you so long to get here?
Where have you been all my life?
I’ll tell you where I’ve been.

I’ve been in show business!

Ever since I was a little kid and heard Pinocchio singing, “Hey, diddly-dee, an actor’s life for me,” that’s what I wanted. Well, not to be an actor.
I got tired of that during my freshman year in college.

So, what to do, what to do. . .

After many years as a Hollywood press agent, I became a writer…movies, stage plays, books.
Anything that was a challenge.  I love telling stories.

After all, with due respect to actors, directors and other artists, isn’t the only truly creative aspect of the performing arts the written word?
Everything else is “interpretation”.

On this site you will find links to my many stage plays that are available for licensing, listings of my books that are available for purchasing, some of my screenplays that are available for optioning, plus my blog that will keep you apprised of my various on-going activities and we can get to know each other, maybe too well.

If you’re into DVDs, take a look at my monthly newsletter, BEST BETS ON DVD.

Also, if you have a story that you want told, either in screenplay or book form, I am still a writer-for-hire.  Have Mac-Will Write.

So, please sign the guest book and share your thoughts and comments on my blog.  But, let’s play nice!

Don’t be such a stranger.  Keep coming back!

A Shot in the Neck

by Michael B. Druxman on 01/09/16

January 11, 2016

So, I had an epidural in my neck on Friday (8), which will hopefully eliminate the tingling and numbness I've experienced in my face, neck and arm that caused me to spend Christmas Eve and most of Christmas Day in the hospital.  My shoulder is still bothering me, but hopefully that will go away in a day or two.

The good news is that I've decided what I'm going to write next.  Indeed, I might have even decided what my next 2 or 3 projects will be.  Without being specific, they will, like The Hollywood Legends, be Hollywood based.  They will also be multiple character plays, each one centering around a different film genre.  The first one will involve gangster movies, and if that works well, it will be followed by a play involving the horror film, then Westerns.  That's all I'm going to tell you now, but I'm feeling a renewed energy that I haven't felt since before my foot surgery on July 7th.

A few days ago I posted a review of MARCO POLO, the Netflix television series, on the Best Bets on DVD site.  You can access it by clicking on the link in the Introduction section of this page.

You have a creative week.

Michael
