New Game Plan

Yesterday, we held auditions for the MR. ROBERTS scene staging and only two people showed up...neither of whom were really right for the roles. So, unless somebody pulls a rabbit out of a hat, I don't think that we will be doing that scene for the upcoming Jewish Veterans Benefit at the temple next month.
As an alternative, I suggested doing an excerpt from my play, JOLSON; the part in which Al Jolson entertains the troops during World War 2.
If we can find somebody fast to do the role, I think we'll go ahead with it. Otherwise, I will be bowing out of the event. People are going to pay to go see this thing and there is no sense giving them crap.
My schedule is fairly clear now until November 11-13 when I will be doing the Austin Comic Con. I had fun and sold a lot of books there last year, so I'm looking forward to doing it again.
Fingers crossed that we can find an Al Jolson.
Have a creative day.
