Missy R.I.P.

Last week, was one of the worst weeks in my life.
On Monday, we had to put down Missy, the border collie who was my best friend for close to 17 years. Like when we put my cat, Annie (also a 17 year friend), to sleep a few months back, it ripped me apart.
Then, on Tuesday, Obama won the election, and that made me feel even worse. His re-election, as I see it, is the end of the United States...certainly as we know it.
Wednesday, Sandy and I decided to get out for awhile, so we went to a movie; the first we've seen in a theater in almost a year. It was ARGO, directed by Ben Afflect, who also stars in it with John Goodman and Alan Arkin. An excellent movie. I highly recommend it.
Tonight, Sandy and I will be attending a dinner meeting of the Sherlock Holmes Society in Austin where I will be giving a talk about Basil Rathbone...and, hopefully, sell a few books.
I've also posted a review of COPPER, Season One, on the Best Bets on DVD site, accessible via the link in the Introduction section of this page. It's a very good series, so please take a look.
You have a creative week.
