What took you so long to get here?

Where have you been all my life?

I’ll tell you where I’ve been.

I’ve been in show business!

Ever since I was a little kid and heard Pinocchio singing, “Hey, diddly-dee, an actor’s life for me,” that’s what I wanted. Well, not to be an actor.

I got tired of that during my freshman year in college.

So, what to do, what to do. . .

After many years as a Hollywood press agent, I became a writer…movies, stage plays, books.

Anything that was a challenge. I love telling stories.

After all, with due respect to actors, directors and other artists, isn’t the only truly creative aspect of the performing arts the written word?

Everything else is “interpretation”.

On this site you will find links to my many stage plays that are available for licensing, listings of my books that are available for purchasing, some of my screenplays that are available for optioning, plus my blog that will keep you apprised of my various on-going activities and we can get to know each other, maybe too well.

Just Stuff...

Today and tomorrow I will be doing a Roundtable discussion with screenwriters at the Austin Film Festival. I will let you know how that goes.

Also, yesterday, two projects I've hinted about became official:

1. Contracts have now been signed for the reprint of my Basil Rathbone book. I'm not sure as to when it will be available, but I would assume around the end of this year or the first part of next.

2. Contracts have now been signed for JOLSON, my one-person play, to be presented for six performances at the Open Space Cafe Theatre in Greensboro, NC next month. Richard Gang will play Al Jolson.

I'm still down in the dumps about Annie, so that's all for now.
