What took you so long to get here?
Where have you been all my life?
I’ll tell you where I’ve been.

I’ve been in show business!

Ever since I was a little kid and heard Pinocchio singing, “Hey, diddly-dee, an actor’s life for me,” that’s what I wanted. Well, not to be an actor.
I got tired of that during my freshman year in college.

So, what to do, what to do. . .

After many years as a Hollywood press agent, I became a writer…movies, stage plays, books.
Anything that was a challenge.  I love telling stories.

After all, with due respect to actors, directors and other artists, isn’t the only truly creative aspect of the performing arts the written word?
Everything else is “interpretation”.

On this site you will find links to my many stage plays that are available for licensing, listings of my books that are available for purchasing, some of my screenplays that are available for optioning, plus my blog that will keep you apprised of my various on-going activities and we can get to know each other, maybe too well.

If you’re into DVDs, take a look at my monthly newsletter, BEST BETS ON DVD.

Also, if you have a story that you want told, either in screenplay or book form, I am still a writer-for-hire.  Have Mac-Will Write.

So, please sign the guest book and share your thoughts and comments on my blog.  But, let’s play nice!

Don’t be such a stranger.  Keep coming back!

Chicago, Here I Come!

by Michael B. Druxman on 09/29/11

September 30, 2011

So, at 7:05 this morning, I'll be on my way to Chicago for the Hollywood Celebrities Autograph Show.  I won't have my computer with me, so the only Internet access I'll have is via the hotel's computer.

Ergo, there will not be a Monday blog.

My plane back to Austin doesn't land until 11:30 pm on Sunday night, and I know I will be too tired to write anything.  Next blog will be on Tuesday (4).

Yesterday, I was asked to do a couple of Roundtable discussions at the Austin Film Festival on October 20-21.  It should be fun.

Now, here's some:

BREAKING NEWS!!

To save the economy, Obama will soon announce that he is ordering the Homeland Security Department to start deporting old people  (instead of illegals) in order to lower Social Security and Medicare costs.

Old people are easier to catch, and will not remember how to get back home!

You have a creative weekend and I'll be back with you on Tuesday.

Michael
