What took you so long to get here?
Where have you been all my life?
I’ll tell you where I’ve been.

I’ve been in show business!

Ever since I was a little kid and heard Pinocchio singing, “Hey, diddly-dee, an actor’s life for me,” that’s what I wanted. Well, not to be an actor.
I got tired of that during my freshman year in college.

So, what to do, what to do. . .

After many years as a Hollywood press agent, I became a writer…movies, stage plays, books.
Anything that was a challenge.  I love telling stories.

After all, with due respect to actors, directors and other artists, isn’t the only truly creative aspect of the performing arts the written word?
Everything else is “interpretation”.

On this site you will find links to my many stage plays that are available for licensing, listings of my books that are available for purchasing, some of my screenplays that are available for optioning, plus my blog that will keep you apprised of my various on-going activities and we can get to know each other, maybe too well.

If you’re into DVDs, take a look at my monthly newsletter, BEST BETS ON DVD.

Also, if you have a story that you want told, either in screenplay or book form, I am still a writer-for-hire.  Have Mac-Will Write.

So, please sign the guest book and share your thoughts and comments on my blog.  But, let’s play nice!

Don’t be such a stranger.  Keep coming back!

An Interesting Week

by Michael B. Druxman on 01/14/12

January 16, 2011

This past week has certainly been an interesting one.

It's all talk at this point and I won't get into specifics until contracts are actually signed and front monies are paid, but if everything happens the way it was negotiated last week, then I will not only have one of my  yet to be produced screenplays turned into a graphic novel, but I will also have a deal to write a brand new screenplay.

Fingers crossed.  I will keep you informed as these individual situations progress.

In the meantime, I've gone ahead and published those four screenplays I've talked about.  I'm keeping the promotion somewhat low-key at this point because I don't want to overwhelm people with too many choices, even though the scripts are of four different genres.

One of them is a classic Western, SARAH GOLDEN HAIR.  You can read more about and buy it by following the link, but if that doesn't work, just copy this address into your browser and you'll be taken right there.

http://www.amazon.com/Sarah-Golden-Hair-Original-Screenplay/dp/1468032127/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1326473266&sr=1-1

If you liked my film, CHEYENNE WARRIOR, you will definitely enjoy this one.

I'll talk about the other scripts in future blogs.

I have also posted a review of TEXAS KILLING FIELDS in the Best Bets on DVD site, accessible via the link in the Introduction section of this page.  So, please take a look.

Now, here's a joke I was sent:

The preacher's 5-year-old daughter noticed that her father always paused and bowed his head for a  moment before starting his sermon.  One day, she asked him why.

"Well, Honey,"  he began, proud that his daughter was so observant of his messages. "I'm  asking the Lord to help me preach a good sermon."

"How come He doesn't answer it?"
  she asked.

You have a creative week.

Michael
