A Week of Research

I spent most of last week doing research on my new play. In fact, I am still researching it. I am about 1/3 the way through the 2nd of 4 books I plan to read on the people involved.
Sorry, but I'm not going to reveal the subject as yet.
There are a couple of new DVD reviews up on the Best Bets on DVD site, accessible via the link on the Introduction section of this page. They are ON THE INSIDE with Nick Stal, the young actor from TERMINATOR 3 who seems to have disappeared, and FIRST A GIRL, a charming 1930s musical with Jessie Matthews.
Now, since this is an important election year, I feel compelled to post the following.
These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read:
Unfortunately, most voters don't know this.
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them; and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work, because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.
Think about that, and have a creative week.
