What took you so long to get here?

Where have you been all my life?

I’ll tell you where I’ve been.

I’ve been in show business!

Ever since I was a little kid and heard Pinocchio singing, “Hey, diddly-dee, an actor’s life for me,” that’s what I wanted. Well, not to be an actor.

I got tired of that during my freshman year in college.

So, what to do, what to do. . .

After many years as a Hollywood press agent, I became a writer…movies, stage plays, books.

Anything that was a challenge. I love telling stories.

After all, with due respect to actors, directors and other artists, isn’t the only truly creative aspect of the performing arts the written word?

Everything else is “interpretation”.

On this site you will find links to my many stage plays that are available for licensing, listings of my books that are available for purchasing, some of my screenplays that are available for optioning, plus my blog that will keep you apprised of my various on-going activities and we can get to know each other, maybe too well.

New DVD Reviews

I had a medical procedure last week, and I am happy to report that everything is okay.

Also this past week, I received a bunch of DVDs to review, which I will do during the next several days. Already, I've uploaded reviews of THE RAILWAY MAN starring Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman and the new Critertion edition of THE BIG CHILL. You can view my comments on the Best Bets on DVD site, accessible via the link in the Introduction section of this page.

I'll probably have more reviews up later this week, including one for the new 6 movie Jacques Demy set from The Criterion Collection. I must admit that, although I don't really like foreign language films (I hate "reading" movies.), I am enjoying these Demy pictures.

Being concerned about my aforementioned medical procedure and with this sudden onslaught on DVDs to review, I've put aside the writing of my new play for a week or so. It had been going well, but I think I need a bit of a vacation from it, so that I can look at it with fresh eyes.
