What took you so long to get here?
Where have you been all my life?
I’ll tell you where I’ve been.

I’ve been in show business!

Ever since I was a little kid and heard Pinocchio singing, “Hey, diddly-dee, an actor’s life for me,” that’s what I wanted. Well, not to be an actor.
I got tired of that during my freshman year in college.

So, what to do, what to do. . .

After many years as a Hollywood press agent, I became a writer…movies, stage plays, books.
Anything that was a challenge.  I love telling stories.

After all, with due respect to actors, directors and other artists, isn’t the only truly creative aspect of the performing arts the written word?
Everything else is “interpretation”.

On this site you will find links to my many stage plays that are available for licensing, listings of my books that are available for purchasing, some of my screenplays that are available for optioning, plus my blog that will keep you apprised of my various on-going activities and we can get to know each other, maybe too well.

If you’re into DVDs, take a look at my monthly newsletter, BEST BETS ON DVD.

Also, if you have a story that you want told, either in screenplay or book form, I am still a writer-for-hire.  Have Mac-Will Write.

So, please sign the guest book and share your thoughts and comments on my blog.  But, let’s play nice!

Don’t be such a stranger.  Keep coming back!

Do YOU like listening to audio books?

by Michael B. Druxman on 03/14/15

March 16, 2015

Interesting: I had trouble logging into the site to write today's blog.  I corrected it by switching to another server.  I hope this won't be a problem in the future.

Sandy and I became grandparents last week.  Her son, Craig, and his wife (Mel) had a baby girl, Lindsay, and this week, Sandy will be traveling to Los Angeles to meet her.  I will be staying home with our dog, Chester.

Since I have never really cooked, Sandy is stocking the refrigerator with easy meals that I can microwave.

Otherwise, this past week has not been an exciting one.  I continue to work on my lengthy short story and, a couple of days ago, I think I achieved a breakthrough on the plot, so it will, hopefully, move along a bit quicker now.

Fred Frees is still recording the audio version of MURDER IN BABYLON, three chapters at a time.  I expect another batch in the next few days.

Do YOU like listening to audio books?

Audible.com has given me some free audio downloads of all of my audio books: ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD, DRACULA MEETS JACK THE RIPPER & Other Revisionist Histories, ORSON WELLES, CLARA BOW, SHADOW WATCHER and HAIL ON THE CHIEF.

If you would be interested in listening to one of these books, please let me know and I will send it to you.  The only thing that I ask is that, if you like the book, that you write a short review of it for either Amazon or Audible.com.

You have a creative day.

Michael
