FLYNN is done...sort of....

Yesterday, I finished typing my Errol Flynn one-person play into the computer. That was the last one I wrote on a typewriter.
However, after reading it through...over 20 years after I wrote it...I'm finding some moments that I want to revise before I upload the manuscript for publication. So, it looks like Captain Blood will go to the bottom of the pile for the time being.
Now, I have to proof both the Spencer Tracy and Clark Gable plays. After that will be Orson Welles, Clara Bow...and then Flynn.
I discovered a nice piece of music for the Welles trailer. That's going to be a good one.
However, finding something that fits Flynn is not going to be easy. Too bad the music that Korngold did for THE SEA HAWK and the other Flynn swashbucklers is protected by copyright.
Oh, well...I'll think of something.
In the meantime, you have a creative day.

Interesting Developments

The Acting Edition of LOMBARD, my one-woman play on Carole Lombard, went active on Amazon yesterday, and it's amazing how much interest it has already generated. Already, I've had inquiries from a couple of theaters that would like to consider it for a production.
Fingers crossed.
Now, here's a joke I was sent:
A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning.
The wife said, "You should do it because you get up first, and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee."
The husband said, "You are in charge of cooking around here and you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee."
Wife replies, "No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee."
Husband replies, "I can't believe that, show me."
So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him
at the top of several pages, that it indeed says: "HEBREWS".
You have a creative day.

A Well Written Police Report

First, here is the link to the short trailer I made up for my one-woman play, LOMBARD. If it doesn't work, then just copy/paste the following into your browser and you get right there.

I thought I did a particularly good job on this one.
BTW: The script will not be available on Amazon for another week or so, but you can get it now at CreateSpace. I posted that link in yesterday's blog.
Now, here's something I was sent:
A well written police report
POLICE REPORT - Augusta, GA
Orville Smith, a store manager for Best Buy in Augusta, Georgia, told police he observed a male customer, later identified as Tyrone Jackson of Augusta, on surveillance cameras putting a laptop computer under his jacket. When confronted the man became irate, knocked down an employee, drew a knife and ran for the door.
Outside on the sidewalk were four Marines collecting toys for the "Toys for Tots" program. Smith said the Marines stopped the man, but he stabbed one of the Marines, Cpl. Phillip Duggan, in the back; the injury did not appear to be severe.
After Police and an ambulance arrived at the scene, Cpl. Duggan was transported for treatment.
The subject was also transported to the local hospital with two broken arms, a broken ankle, a broken leg, several missing teeth, possible broken ribs, multiple contusions, assorted lacerations, a broken nose and a broken jaw...injuries he sustained when he slipped and fell off of the curb after stabbing the Marine.
Now that was a well written Police report.
You have a creative day.
