TRACY, my one-person play about Spencer Tracy is now available on CreateSpace, and will be up on Amazon within a few days.
As usual, if the above link doesn't take you there, then please copy the following into your browser and that should solve the problem:
https://www.createspace.com/3595432
I've also uploaded the interiors to both my Errol Flynn and Orson Welles plays onto CreateSpace, so they should both be available within a couple of weeks.
After that, Clara Bow and Clark Gable, then all six plays will be available.
Now, here's a joke for you. [Again, please forgive the CAPS.]
"DO YOU BELIEVE IN LIFE AFTER DEATH?" THE BOSS ASKED ONE OF HIS EMPLOYEES.
"YES, SIR," THE NEW EMPLOYEE REPLIED.
"WELL, THEN, THAT MAKES EVERYTHING JUST FINE," THE BOSS WENT ON. "AFTER YOU LEFT EARLY YESTERDAY TO GO TO YOUR GRANDMOTHER'S FUNERAL, SHE STOPPED IN TO SEE YOU!"
You have a creative day.

Easter Jokes
by Michael B. Druxman on 04/24/11

First, I've got a couple of new DVD reviews posted on the Best Bets on DVD, accessible via the link in the Introduction section on this page.
They are BLUE VALENTINE, which got a Best Actress Oscar nomination this past year for Michelle Williams, and also the SOPHIA LOREN AWARD COLLECTIONS (3 films), so take a look.
Now, I realize that I'm a day late, but here are a couple of Easter-related jokes I was sent. [Please forgive the CAPS.]
IT WAS PALM SUNDAY AND, BECAUSE OF A SORE THROAT, FIVE-YEAR-OLD JOHNNY STAYED HOME FROM CHURCH WITH A SITTER.
WHEN THE FAMILY RETURNED HOME, THEY WERE CARRYING SEVERAL PALM BRANCHES. THE BOY ASKED WHAT THEY WERE FOR.
"PEOPLE HELD THEM OVER JESUS ' HEAD AS HE WALKED BY."
"WOULDN'T YOU KNOW IT," THE BOY FUMED, "THE ONE SUNDAY I DON'T GO, HE SHOWS UP!"
=====
ONE EASTER SUNDAY MORNING AS THE MINISTER WAS PREACHING THE CHILDREN'S SERMON, HE REACHED INTO HIS BAG OF PROPS AND PULLED OUT AN EGG.
HE POINTED AT THE EGG AND ASKED THE CHILDREN, "WHAT'S IN HERE?"
"I KNOW!" A LITTLE BOY EXCLAIMED. "PANTYHOSE !!"
You have a creative day.

Re-write Time
by Michael B. Druxman on 04/21/11
April 22, 2011
Before I send it in to the publisher, I've decided to do a bit of rewriting (actually, more of a polish) on my GABLE script.
This was the first one-person play that I wrote and, unlike my later monologues, I relied more on Clark Gable's own words which, in many cases, are rather staid.
So, I'm going to make a few cuts and punch the dialogue up a bit, which means that, after TRACY, GABLE will not be the next script published in The Hollywood Legends series.
I think that that honor will go to ORSON WELLES, followed (possibly) by CLARA BOW. I'm currently formatting the Welles script, and...if I do say so myself...I think it's pretty good.
In the meantime, I've ordered the final proof for TRACY, thus if all goes well, that play will be available for purchase later next week.
So, while I get back to work, you have a creative weekend, and I'll be back on Monday.
