What took you so long to get here?
Where have you been all my life?
I’ll tell you where I’ve been.  

I’ve been in show business!

Ever since I was a little kid and heard Pinocchio singing, “Hey, diddly-dee, an actor’s life for me,” that’s what I wanted. Well, not to be an actor. 
I got tired of that during my freshman year in college.

So, what to do, what to do. . .

After many years as a Hollywood press agent, I became a writer…movies, stage plays, books.  
Anything that was a challenge.  I love telling stories.

After all, with due respect to actors, directors and other artists, isn’t the only truly creative aspect of the performing arts the written word?     
Everything else is “interpretation”.

On this site you will find links to my many stage plays that are available for licensing, listings of my books that are available for purchasing, some of my screenplays that are available for optioning, plus my blog that will keep you apprised of my various on-going activities and we can get to know each other, maybe too well.

Also, if you have a story that you want told, either in screenplay or book form, I am still a writer-for-hire.  Have Mac-Will Write.

As I head off to the hospital, I just want to alert you that there are 2 new reviews up on the Best Bets on DVD website, accessible via the link in the Introduction section of this page.

They are PENNY PRINCESS, a delightful comedy with Dirk Bogarde, and ROBBERY UNDER ARMS, an Australian "Western" with Peter Finch.

The Dentist

Tomorrow morning (6), very early, I go in for my medical procedure, so I might not be posting for a day or two.  

In the meantime, here's a joke for you:

The dentist pulls out a numbing needle to give the man a shot.  

"No way! No needles. I hate needles," the patient said.

The dentist starts to hook up the nitrous oxide and the man objects.  "I can't do the gas thing. The thought of having the gas mask on suffocates me!"

The dentist then asks the patient if he has any objection to taking a pill.

"No objection," the patient says. "I'm fine with pills."

The dentist then returns and says, "Here's a Viagra."

The patient says, "Wow, I didn't know Viagra worked as a painkiller."

"It doesn't," said the dentist, "but it's going to give you something to hold on to when I pull your tooth."

Happy 4th of July!

This being the 4th of July weekend, I would ordinarily not blog again until Tuesday (5), but...depending on how I'm feeling...I might hold off blogging until the end of next week.  Or, maybe not. 

I am undergoing a medical procedure on Wednesday (6) and will be sedated, so we shall see what we shall see.

In the meantime, have a happy, creative and safe (NO FIREWORKS!) 4th of July and I'll be back with you soon.
